Inspired by Escher’s metamorphosis tessellations, this grid of regular polygons morphs into a central motif. The line colour grows in intensity towards the centre, drawing focus to the motif. The slight curvature of the grid creates a subtle fisheye effect.
The series of three was defined by taking each of the regular tessellating polygons (triangle, square and hexagon) in turn and developing a tessellating tile from it. The shape of the regular polygon is also reflected in the outer shape of the grid.
